Formed through the merger of Affinity Homes Group and William Sutton Group in 2006, Affinity Sutton now manages some 51,000 homes nationwide. A major challenge when merging was to integrate two disparate IT infrastructures into one optimised system to meet the availability and scalability requirements of the new combined operation.Since it was likely to make further acquisitions, Affinity Sutton wanted to be better prepared by gaining an insight into available solutions and estimated costings for a consolidated server environment based on Storage Area Network (SAN) technology.
