Eurodata becomes a Dell Enterprise Architecture Certified Partner, delivering a more complete service to customers Customers today expect more from their technology and the firms they work with to deliver their IT environments. Solutions and service providers can offer their customers a seamless, end-to-end solution, from design to deployment. Company Profile Eurodata Systems is a systems integrator and IT solutions provider to mid-market and enterprise customers across the UK – and is currently extending its reach worldwide. With more than 19 years of experience, Eurodata works as a solutions and services provider, offering solutions in systems integration, network security, mobility, storage, virtualization, unified communications, and managed services. The company’s 150 employees work with firms to drive down costs and accelerate return on investment. Business objectivesEurodata prides itself on its expertise in every element of IT infrastructure –especially storage and virtualization. For many years, Eurodata maintained a strong relationship with EqualLogic and when Dell acquired the solution, Simon Aron, joint managing director at Eurodata, saw an opportunity to work with Dell’s PartnerDirect team. Specifically, Aron wanted to simplify hardware deployment for clients and work with Dell on new business opportunities. Aron says: “We’d recommended Dell hardware to our clients for a long time, but we wanted to find a more fluid way of working together. We were excited by the long-term value we’d see as a Dell partner.” BenefitsJoined-up thinking delivers end-to-end service Eurodata is now a Dell Enterprise Architecture Certified Partner and has worked with Dell to develop an effective proposition for its customers. As part of the partnership, Dell has matched its technology onto all of Eurodata’s processes. For example, Eurodata’s virtualization solutions have been matched to the latest Dell™ PowerEdge™ blade servers and EqualLogic storage. Dell’s alliances with VMware, Microsoft, Symantec, Citrix and other key firms help Eurodata deliver swift and effective deployments. Aron says: “Dell’s matched its technology to our business solutions, which gives us confidence throughout our deployments.” Dell Partner Advisory Council improves processesAs part of the Dell Partner Advisory Council, Aron has access to senior decision-makers at Dell, to discuss the elements of the partnership that affect Eurodata. Over the past 12 months, Eurodata has worked with Dell on processes such as deal registration and credit systems. Aron says: “The Dell Partner Advisory Council gives us a platform for our issues and direct access to Dell’s senior managers. It’s an open discussion that makes real progress.”
Dell and Eurodata forge a strong bond A multi-level engagement model means that Dell’s sector-specific account managers have forged a strong bond with Aron’s team. Eurodata has a contact at Dell for its key business areas and the two companies often work together on joint marketing projects. Dell even helps Eurodata train new employees. Aron says: “We have three dedicated Dell account managers and Dell is even a part of our induction programme. This engagement creates a strong bond.” Next-generation technology makes the difference Eurodata has created a proof-of-concept centre at its facility in London, where customers can see Dell technology working. With the latest generation of Dell servers and storage and applications, Eurodata has a proposition that meets its customers’ needs. Aron says: “Our customers want to see everything in action – from servers and Dell EqualLogic, to the Dell Management Console. They really respond to the comprehensive Dell solution and we’ve seen an increase in revenue as a result.”
